I have a Seagate Xbox HDD and when i put it in my PC as slave to a Windows XP HDD it said "boot failed type in unlock code" (or something like that) so i looked on the HDD with my computer still on an found a code at the bottom which said configuration code: zav01 so i typed that in and it worked no lie and windows recognised it but didn't let me access it. but i tried it a second time after another boot of my computer it didn't work. Does anyone know why?
Answer
Windows isn't going to read FATX natively. If I were you, I'd use Xbrowser, a modified Linux Live CD. Also, don't put the drive in as a slave, put it in as a master instead of your main HDD when using the Live CD. I can't remember off the top of my head where to get it from, or what it's called, but if you PM me I'll help you get hold of it. You can use Linux, right?
